PORTRAIT SESSION: BATTERSEA, LONDON
Monday, July 21, 2008 at 03:38PM A couple of weeks ago, I was in Battersea to photograph my first set of twins Victor and William. I enjoyed this session ...I was intoduced to Muffy the canine protector who did not want me to get close to the boys at all and kept getting in all the frames and not in a good way.... we also spent some time at the local fair which was really colourful....all in all, a great session.
Would love to talk a lot more about it but i'm out the door for a much deserved break before my wedding bookings in August....

MINI PORTRAIT SESSIONS: KENSINGTON, LONDON
Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 07:17PM A few weeks ago, i spoke about the mini sessions i would be having in Kensington; well, they have come and gone and were great. The sessions were very different from the way i usually work but i still enjoyed them. Each child had 2o minutes with me as opposed to the 1.5 - 2 hours my normal sessions usually take; this meant i had to work very fast and engage the kids in a way i normally wouldn't do as i tend to be really hands off during sessions. I think it turned okay....

PORTRAIT SESSION: KENSINGTON, LONDON
Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11:13AM Last week saw me with soizick in Kensington for a family portrait session. Soizick just had her third child, so we were introducing little Henri to the 'joys of photography'. I have photographed his older sister and brother so many times these past 2 years; they are both used to having me around and actually love to pose infront of the camera now ....
Thank you Soizick for allowing me to spend time recording your family moments....
here are a few from the session:

WEDDING: CHINGFORD, ESSEX
Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 10:41AM Saturday the 7th of June saw me with Jacqui and Dave for their wedding... these two were absolute troupers despite everything that went wrong before the wedding - from Jacqui ending up without a wedding dress 2 weeks before the wedding (long story and not mine to tell), to the florist shutting down, uncle falling ill to garter not going to arrive on time.... any other girl would be traumatized (i know i would be) but Jacqui had a back up plan and i must say she pulled it off to perfection and had fun doing it. So, here's a big salute to you girl... you deserve it.

INSPIRATION: WEDDING CHICKS
Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 08:50AM Just a quick resource for brides... a few days ago, i came across the wedding chicks blog owned by Joycebella invites + amy squires photography. I love this blog because not only do they give inspiration and give suggestions on how to solve your wedding fashion and planning dilemmas (oh, decisions! decisions!), they also give away prizes. Their current 'chick giveaway' are a choice of a pair of earrings from jewellery leasing company I'm over it. Worth a browse if you're still going through your planning haze or just about to...

MINI PORTRAIT SESSIONS: KENSINGTON, LONDON
Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 07:26AM Just a quick one to say i will be having mini portrait sessions at the Nenuphar baby trunk sale in Kensington. The date for the session is: Thursday, 26th of June 2008. (from 9am to 9pm).
I would appreciate it if you could use the email a friend button (under the post a comment button) to pass this on to anyone who might be interested.
details of the mini session and trunk sale are as follows:
Mini Session:
A mini session is a quick and inexpensive way of getting a great portrait of your child whilst introducing them to photography.
£85 session fee which includes:
1. A private 20 minute session with Elizabeth Archibong (yes, 20 minutes is more than enough to get some great shots of your child.)
2. Two 7 x 5 prints from the session ( you will be given an opportunity to purchase more products from your online gallery if you require them)
3. A £20 voucher to spend at the Nenuphar sale.
If you are interested in the mini session, please book early to avoid having to wait or even missing out totally as spaces will be limited. You can pop me a quick email or call me.

WEDDING: MARYLEBONE TOWN HALL & ST. ANDREW'S HOLBORN
Friday, May 23, 2008 at 01:34PM When Tania called me up in February, she wasn't sure she wanted a photographer as she was planning a really small do with just close friends and family; but then according to her, she kept coming back to the blog and having a quick nosey round the website and decided, 'what the heck? let's go for it!!'
So, i met up with both Tania and Janos at the Marylebone Registry office on Saturday and for their blessing at St. Andrew's in Holborn on Sunday for a couple of hours. I must confess that i found Marylebone a bit of a challenge as there was really not much i could use (it was also raining so going out after the ceremony was not an option) but then I suppose it is what it is and it's my job as a photographer to make it happen. Tania and Janos were absolutely fantastic and let me drag them to little nooks around the room and kept asking me if i needed more time, was the light okay? etc.
anyway, here are a few of my efforts from the weekend...
PRE-WEDDING PHOTO-SHOOT: CHINGFORD, LONDON
Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 08:51AM Tuesday saw me with Jacqui and Dave for their pre-wedding at the Green in Chingford. We used the grounds of their church St. Peters and St. Pauls. This session was slightly different but nice for me as i tend to gravitate towards the gritty urban locations for pre-wedding sessions; but this time i had to use open space (which is a good exercise for me), i also used details around the church building.
The light was fantastic; now i know why photographers in California always have kick ass images (well, talent does play an important part of course but still, great conditions don't hurt at all do they?) now, if only it could stay this way until august ... [who am i kidding? i'm looking out the window as i type this, and the forecast from the perky lady on the BBC morning news is 'intermittent showers' (that translates loosely as rain all day to you and me) which will carry through to the weekend...hmm]
anyway, here are some images from the session...
