ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS: CAMBRIDGE
Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 08:55AM A week ago, I had an engagement shoot with Simon and Gemma in Cambridge. It's the first time I've ever been to Cambridge, and i really liked it there....It's busy enough for a London fanatic like me but slow enough to make you want to stop and explore.... The photo shoot started off at the quayside and kept going....there were little streets everywhere, and we kept stopping or should i say i kept stopping them to take pictures.... It was a fun day. Here is a slideshow of a selection of images from the day.
GRAND DESIGNS LIVE EXHIBITON: 8-10th JUNE 2007
Monday, April 30, 2007 at 07:02PM Just a quick note to say i will be exhibiting at the grand designs exhibition in June. If anyone is heading there on these dates, please stop by and say hello; I am at stand L382 ....just in case you get lost along the way ('cause it's a massive hall), i'm just opposite the Bombay sapphire blue room exhibition as well as the champagne and seafood bar...(strategic or what?!!!....let it not be said that i don't try hard)
LIFESTYLE PHOTOS (AMAIA): CHELSEA, LONDON
Monday, April 23, 2007 at 11:26PM A few weeks ago, I had a portrait shoot for two lovely ladies here in Chelsea. They own a clothing store for kids called Amaia; (unfortunately, they do not have a website yet....actually, that's one of the reasons they hired me ..to take pictures for their new website...I will update the link once it's finished) anyway, they have absolutely gorgeous clothes; and they design some of these themselves....check them out if you're in the area or give them a call (they do have a mail order service)
here some of the pictures from the shoot...

Second Photo-shoot with Amaia....here are the pictures.... I'm quite excited about these ones as I had to photograpgh seven (yes, you heard me....seven!!!) kids all under the age of six, all at once....let's just say it was chaotic but successful ( I think!!) and leave it at that, 'cause anything else would ruin the spin I'm putting on it ......here are the pics

WONDERFUL GRAFFITI
Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 10:07AM So, whilst stalking Jessica Strickland's blog (yeah, that's right! you heard me.... I am a blog stalker and so are you, otherwise you wouldn't be here; but, this is a whole new topic for a different post so....) I discovered WONDERFUL GRAFFITTI. What are they about? Well, they create custom designs of letters made from vinyl. These have a light adhesive that hold them firmly to a wall or whatever surface you want until you are ready to take them off; almost like post it notes but a lot sexier. I really love these... I've just been trawling throught their gallery and have borrowed some images to show you guys here. It can pretty much be used anywhere... weddings, homes, office, garden....

SWISS MISS CARDS
Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 12:53PM Another fun link. These cards are beautiful... check them out at Swiss miss cards
I love all the designs especially the 'save the date' cards, as they can be used with engagement pictures. I also think the new baby cards are cute as well.
This site may be geared more towards photographers but i think anyone with a bit of photoshop skills could use them.
PORTRAIT PHOTOS: KENSINGTON, LONDON
Friday, April 13, 2007 at 03:10AM A few weeks ago, I had a portrait shoot in Kensington. A new baby had arrived in the family just 2 weeks before and the little guy here was not too pleased with the new addition just yet and so didn't want any pictures taken with her but, I'm happy to report that in the end, we did have fun. His older sister was such a star; I suppose it was all a walk in the park for her as she'd already been there, done that with the new baby thing once before........

erm.... I just noticed that all the pictures I've posted are in black and white. It's not a theme or anything like that... the next pictures posted here will be in colour....
GREAT INFORMATION WEBSITE
Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 10:55PM So.... I was trawling the web, as you do.... and i came across this website: Wedfog
This site basically helps clarify some things about the wedding photography industry and will hopefully help you in choosing your wedding photographer. It's not a British site, but the information there can pretty much be applied over here as well.
ACCOUNTANTS
Friday, April 6, 2007 at 02:45PM It's the end of the financial tax yearfor me ...[ahh...that hazy and warm time where it all comes together in black and white just how much has been flowing in and out and, what the tax man expects from you as your dues to say 'thank you' for letting me toil away at my own convenience....]
It's at a time like this that I believe I should have listened to my gut and taken on an accountant or at least a bookkeeper rather than trying to be cheap and going the DIY route; because, I would not be tearing out my hair trying to get the books to balance.Well, you live and learn; and I have learnt. I have learnt that cutting costs is good, but being cheap, sometimes just doesn't cut it (it's so not worth the aggro...)
The point to this rambling..... I have found an accountant for the new financial year (hurrah!!!).... they even have a nice online facility that shows me what's what at any given time..... let's see how it goes then.....
ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS: LIVERPOOL STREET
Monday, April 2, 2007 at 01:50AM In January, I had an engagement photo session with Anne-Marie and Ben in Liverpool Street. I enjoyed this particular shoot because it was a city shoot as opposed to going somewhere with loads of greenery. It means I had to to look for patterns and form in the background to make the images interesting.
Anyway, let me know what you think.....
