LIFESTYLE PHOTO SHOOT: LA MAISON DE CLEOPHEE

Last week saw me in Earls Court; not with Soizick of Nenuphar as usual, but with Elvire.... Elvire is the person behind La Maison De Cleophee. The first time we spoke was December 2007 and she was so excited, it was infectious.... we hit it off immediately and were on the same wave length with regards to  the sort of images we could create for her candles.... one pre-shoot meeting, a mountain of magazine reference cut outs and a full day's shoot later, the following are just a few of the many images we came up with....

DIM SUM @ PING PONG!!!

Decided to have a really lazy day today.... so after aerobics, headed out for brunch with my lovely friend Enitan (who has been a really busy bee lately...jet setting to no less than 5 countries in about 2 weeks!!!) As it's the first time we've met this year, it was great to hash out the gossip we've been passing onto to each other in tidbits via telephone..... I also met up with an old high school friend whom  I haven't seen in ages......

Anyway, Ping Pong was great....  as it was Sunday, it was quiet and service was fantastic.... I could have stayed in there forever...... here are a few pics from our day.... [Enitan has got her makeup on this time, so she doesn't look half as frightening as she did on carnival day :)  (Eni, I know you are  reading this;  remember, I'm one of your oldest friends and I love you, so you are not allowed to hurt me in anyway or your mum will hear about it....!!!) ]

PRE-WEDDING PHOTO-SHOOT: CONVENT GARDEN, LONDON

Sunday saw me in Convent Garden with Sandra and Jerry for their pre-wedding session.... I had initially planned to start the session at the piazza, then royal opera house and transport museum; why i actually thought that would be possible, I'll never know..... seeing as how whole world and their family plus tourists always converge there regardless of what time the day, or day of the week it is  :)..... anyway, I decided against it at the last minute as I felt traumatizing Sandra and Jerry so early on in the session was really not in anyone's best interest :)

we decided to use the back streets instead and it actually worked out quite well.....here are a few of my favorites from the session.....

JEWELLERY BY KIRSTEN GOSS

This next post is actually inspired from a conversation I had last week with a friend who is getting married.... She was looking for something to give to her bridesmaids ... the gifts have to be elegant and affordable but also personal......

after trawling the net, I found Kirsten Goss and her gorgeous personalised jewelry. I met up with the girls from Kirsten Goss 2 years ago at the designer wedding show but i'd totally forgotten about them until I started researching this again.....

Kirsten Goss provides personalised items for your bridesmaids that not only tie in with your wedding theme but are modern enough to be worn afterwards....  I especially love the vintage style hair pins!!.....

The best thing I've found is they do offer discounts from 5% for 2 bridesmaid gifts ordered to 15% of for 4 bridesmaids or more regardless of whether you are an existing Kirsten Goss bridal customer or not......

LUELLA'S BOUDOIR

Just thought i'd share this little gem of a place in wimbledon village to all brides still doing their search.  Luella's is owned by Rachel and Jude and is based in Wimbledon Village. It is a one stop shop for brides and bridesmaids and they offer everything but the wedding dress..... shoes, bridesmaid dresses, lingerie, shrugs, veils, bags, stationary, luggage & gifts, facinators.....you get the drift.....

I really love their bridesmaid dresses.....here are a few featured at the national wedding show catwalk last year.....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy NewYear everybody!!!.....

I know, I know...it's six days into the new year but i could not bring myself to lose the whole holiday feeling and get back into business, blogging etc. (that is until I got a call from my Solicitor on Thursday with regards to a property i'm currently in the process of selling....)  Let's just say that phone call put the kaibosh on the 'prolonged' holiday feeling reeeeeally quickly and brought me crashing well and truly into the new year!!!

Hurrah for buying and selling property in england and all it's associated aggrro...... I mean, who needs a straightforward process where one is not being constantly fleeced for cash at every turn (only £5oo and above will do, thank you very much....) whilst the whole buying and selling process keeps looking like it's never going to end ?

well, that's my whinge done then.... good thing i did not make any resolutions for 2008 about this particular pastime then....:)

Here's to a successful year for everyone!!
