PORTRAIT PHOTO SHOOT: LIMEHOUSE,LONDON
Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 10:26PM On Sunday, I met up with Fiona and Alastair at the narrow pub in Limehouse.... Fiona is one of the winners of the "win a free portrait session" from the competition i was running the during grand designs show back in June.....
I remember when she found out she had won.... I got an email at about 1 am ...."Oh my god, oh my god.... i don't believe it!!!! i'm so excited....I never win anything!!! ".....and so it went.... So, we finally met with both of them looking so nervous especially Alastair.... and took a walk down narrow street...there are fantastic warehouse apartments over there...
I'm so excited about these images as they are first ones i've taken since i pimped up my 5D (...er...that's the camera...just incase) there is a certain clarity to the images that i never had before.... well, here is what we got up to on sunday.....

ENGAGEMENT PHOTO-SHOOT: TOWER HILL, LONDON
Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 12:23AM On a sunny 8th of July, Vicky, Adrian and I were to meet up at St. Katherine's Docks in tower hill for their engagement photo-shoot; however, the tour de France gig was taking place (an event we were well and truly ignorant of....) so St. Katherine's Docks was so not going to happen.... decided to take them on a walk through the back streets instead ....and it turned out so much better .
Adrian kept us in stitches.... I particularly note this fact because the first time i met him, my first thought was 'oh dear!!! I might have a problem.... he doesn't look the smiling type' so i was totally surprised by the fact that he was the one that just kept us going and he's such fun to tease as well !!!..... goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover.....duh!!!

ANGELIQUE KIDJO: DJIN DJIN
Sunday, July 15, 2007 at 12:51PM I just got the new album from Angelique Kidjo called Djin Djin and i just had to blog about it..... absolutely fantastic!!! I have always loved Angelique's music but I think she comes full circle with this album. I particularly love this album as it reminds me of home (Nigeria), my parents, friends and family over there.... it's funny how even though the language is different, it still evokes the same feelings of home, feelings that a lot of us Africans here in the west tend to forget in our haste to be seen as 'westernized' (myself included) and not lumped in the same category as the negative stuff that one often hears about Africa.

songs like salala and djin djin remind me of those 'chill out' moments where everyone is just sprawled about on the carpet, sofa or whatever free space one can find; and talking (gossip if it's just us girls) relaxing and laughing about any and everything..... songs like mama golo papa as well as papa bring memories of those parties that go on 'til 4am in the morning with everyone eating and drinking way too much, dancing way too hard, flirting like hell and generally just having a good time in the way only we know how to (.......as if the world is coming to an end!)
check it out and enjoy!
PORTRAIT PHOTOSHOOT: BELGRAVIA, LONDON
Monday, July 9, 2007 at 04:08PM Last tuesday saw me in Belgravia on a date with a little cutie named Freddie. His grandmother wanted some photographs as a surprise for his Dad. It was a fun time and it reminded me why i like photographing kids.... they are so free with their emotions and you can't help but get caught up in their excitement..... The photo shoot started right as he was waking up from his afternoon nap (some people have all the luck!) and kept going strong........here are a selection of images from the photoshoot...

WEDDING: GRAY'S INN, LONDON
Sunday, July 1, 2007 at 03:16PM Yesterday, Anne-marie and Ben got married at Gray's Inn. It was a simple ceremony with intimate friends and family.... Her lovely roses were by wild at heart .... the day went by so fast, the food was fantastic and everyone was so relaxed; and on the note of relaxed, I can't believe how chilled out Anne-Marie was..... I'm sure she got tired of everyone asking "are you alright?" ...she was absolutely cool and calm and because she was that way, I suppose everyone was slightly more relaxed; at least I was......I felt as if i had all the time in the world to get the images I wanted to get....
